Thank You - School Closed

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

Hopefully everyone is off to a good start to your summer.

As I officially finish my duties as the Principal of Virtual Elementary School - East and we bring the school to a close, I would like to send a final message of appreciation.

As a father of two children still in school (Gr 7 and 9), I can appreciate the work, family and life demands you had to balance to have your child(ren) at home learning during the school year. While our teachers, educators, and the school system in general worked extremely hard this year, virtual learning would not have been successful this year without parent(s)/guardian(s) allowing and supporting learning at home. Thank you for everything you were able to do to help assist your child in learning. It was greatly appreciated.

Classes were invited to submit something to celebrate our virtual learning experience this year for a virtual “time capsule” video. In case your child missed seeing it on the last day of school and/or you wish to view it with your child, please see below for a video time capsule link for each grade level.

The videos will be available for viewing for the next couple of weeks and then will be put away in the “virtual vault” for future viewing. The videos are meant to be private and I would ask that the links and/or the videos are not shared publicly or posted on social media. The videos are best viewed using Chrome. If you have trouble viewing the videos, try a different browser or use a “in-private” or “incognito” window.

On a personal note, I’m remaining in the East area and will be moving to be the Principal of Pilgrim Wood PS in Sept. I look forward to returning to a physical school and continuing my journey with the Pilgrim Wood community.

All further inquiries should now be directed to your home/host school for September.

May everyone have a safe and enjoyable summer and all the best for a return to school in September.

Regards,

Mr. Kaiser

Principal
